Sioux City Symphony Orchestra: Opening Night

The Sioux City Symphony Orchestra will present, “Opening Night” on Sunday, October 1st at 7:30 pm. 2017 Grammy Award-winning cellist, Zuill Bailey joins the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra for a dramatic performance of the emotionally charged Cello Concerto by Edward Elgar.  The evening concludes with one of Zoltan Kodaly’s most colorful and enchanting works for his orchestra, Hary Janos Suite.  He most popular works feature teh cimbalom, a traditional Hungarian dulcimer, played by Laurence Kaptain.
